Over the past 11 years I have attended 100+ births through my work as a Doula in private practice, as a volunteer at St. Joseph's, and through my work at birthing centers.
Through my work I support women before, during and after the birth process. I work to educate families and empower partners.
In my years as a doula, I have assisted clients in facilitating optimal positioning of the baby to reduce the need for Caesarean births. I have also worked alongside clients with emotional distress from past traumas to use relaxation techniques to increase client comfort. I am experienced in births of multiples and have been a part of complex birthing situations including Caesarian births and other births with complications.
As a certified Lactation Educator, I have helped countless women with lactation, latching baby, tandem feeding, bonding, and natural weaning postpartum. I also have experience with complex feeding situations, those with prior breast trauma or surgery. Although I can offer lactation support, I always support clients in their choice of feeding baby.
